Kurdish Efl University Teachers And Students’ Attitudes Toward The Use of Authentic Materials in Speaking Classes

Instructional materials have a crucial role in EFL classrooms. Using authentic is supported by many professionals and scholars the filed of language pedagogy. This study tries to examine attitudes Kurdish teachers students towards using teaching speaking classes at university. To achieve this goal, adopted mixed method that includes both quantitative qualitative approaches. The participnts current included 184 second-year 12 English Department from three public universities in  Kurdistan Region, Iraq. data were collected through two instruments, including questionnaire an interview.The findings indicated had positive attitude classes. participants preferred these class regarded them as effective tools for enhancing students’ skills. Moreover, results showed use expose learners real-life language, create enjoyable learning environment, boost motivation interest, develop their cultural awareness. respondents agreed videos, songs, movies, internet most appealing types
